I'm the owner and real estate broker of Pangburn Properties, Inc.
I've been selling real estate for nearly 30 years. In 2000, I earned my brokers license and in 2002, I started Pangburn Properties, Inc. I purchased a building in downtown Grant in 2005, where my office is now located and have been serving clients from that location ever since.
I was fortunate to survive the 2009/2010 housing market recession, some weren't so fortunate. As with every downside, there is an upside, sometimes we don't know what it is until God reveals it to us.
The experience I gained during the housing market recession, being heavily immersed in a plethora of foreclosures, deeds in lieu, short sales, property tax foreclosures, along with working as a real estate broker for HUD (Housing and Urban Development), taught me the ins and outs of what to expect as your next Register of Deeds.
Putting the recession aside, throughout my career I've utilized the Register of Deeds to research property deeds, recorded surveys, trusts, legal descriptions, judgements of divorce, chains of title, mortgages, covenants, land restrictions, site condo by-laws, sheriffs deeds, bankruptcies, and more. I've also utilized Mapping and Description along with Equalization over the years to ensure any splits, permanent parcel numbers and legal descriptions are accurate and can be recorded. All of this research is required of me as a real estate professional and has placed me in a unique position for a Register of Deeds candidate.
Throughout my career as a small business owner of a real estate brokerage, I hold pride in the knowledge and expertise I've gleaned. For those buyers and sellers I've helped, along with the real estate salespeople who chose to work at my brokerage, I can say with certainty, they believe in me and trust my words. I believe I also hold high esteem among my fellow brokers, both within the county and outside the county. And I believe God put me in this place, at this time, to serve the good people of Newaygo County.
My Family
We have all been blessed to still have my Mother by our side (pictured at age 80). Along side she and I are her grandsons, my two boys, now grown into two respectful adults. I couldn't ask for a more loving and supportive family. I cherish each and everyone of them everyday.
The apple of my eye is this beautiful young lady, my granddaughter. You see her dancing with her daddy, my Son. She is the sweetest, most thoughtful, giving young lady I know. We are so blessed God gave her to us all!
The most recent addition to my family is this beautiful young lady who agreed to marry my Son. She is so generous with her love, a kind person through and through, a wonderful caregiver and as wholesome as they come. We are so fortunate she chose our family to be a part of.
I only have one sibling, my sister. Pictured are my sister, brother-in-law and my only nephew. If you've lived in the Grant area long enough you probably recognize them. Small business runs in the family and my sister is no exception. If you know my sister, she works like a horse and probably will until the day she dies, but she does enjoy being part of an old ladies band playing sixties music at festivals, Meijer Gardens, and other venues. Their son works along side my sister day in and day out and will likely take over her business when the time comes. My brother-in-law is retired now, but has never seen a day where hard work wasn't part of it. They are all good hearted people and in my opinion, well respected by their friends, family and the community. I am more than blessed to have a sister with a family like hers.
Just hard working, ordinary people living life in the State we love!
